Production kicks off on animation on Qassem Soleimani

The production on an animation on Iranian commander Lt. Gen. Qassem Soleimani, who has been killed in a US air strike in Iraq kicks off.

Iran’s Saba Animation Center has kicked off the production on an animation on Iranian commander Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, who has been killed in a US air strike in Iraq.

The animation will be about the life of Soleimani from his childhood to his assassination.

The producer, Mohammad Ali Safoura, said the process of writing the script and the pre-production stage of the animation began, noting that it will be 30 minutes long.

It will be a part of the animated series ‘Forty Witnesses (Chehel Shahed)’ which narrates the story of 40 martyrs and depicts their behavior that could serve as role models and inspire and influence the audience.

The target audience of the series is adolescents, but it would also attract children and adults, Safoura added.

Lt. Gen. Soleimani, who was the commander of the Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), was assassinated along with Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the second-in-command of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units (PMU), as well as eight other people in a US drone strike at Baghdad’s international airport early on Friday.
